Candid Eye
''Candid Eye'' is a Canadian documentary television series which aired on CBC Television in 1958. ==Production== This series aired various National Film Board of Canada (NFB) documentaries such as ''Blood and Fire'' (about the Salvation Army), ''The Back-Breaking Leaf'' (about southern Ontario tobacco farming), ''The Days Before Christmas'' (filmed in Montreal) and ''Police'' (about Toronto's police force). The series was filmed with technically advanced portable cameras. Footage relied on observation, with interviews kept to a minimum. The executive producer of the series for the NFB was Tom Daly.
